STORE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION 
The Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store, making it run smoothly and effectively. As the store manager, you will supervise the operational and organizational standards of the showroom and off-site warehouse. Your duties will include undertaking administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and the design & visual merchandising of the showroom, while fostering a positive & motivating environment. Your contributions in this capacity are instrumental in paving the pathway to our vision. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 
* Uphold the highest standards of quality, health, and safety for the site 
* Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction 
* Motivate the interior designers, sales, and warehouse/delivery teams to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring 
* Hire, train and oversee staff consisting of both hourly and salary employees 
* Ensure CSM responds to customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner 
* Ensuring all promotional material and signage is current in the showroom 
* Perform daily Showroom Ready walks 
* Prepare Biweekly schedules for showroom and off-site warehouse 
* Review and manage hourly associate time clocks 
* Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the Procurement Manager on store needs 
* Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to Urban Home Market showroom standards 
* Source local vendors for consignment opportunities 
* Maintain awareness of market trends in the furniture industry and monitor local competition 
* Conduct appraisals and performance reviews and create training and employee development plans 
* Participate in regional Creative Workshops to continually support customer service and showroom appeal 
* Oversee cash handling and deposits 

REQUIRED SKILLS
* Passion for interior design 
* Outgoing personality and a desire to work with people 
* Courteous, patient attitude with all customers and team members 
* Solutions-oriented problem solver  
* Experience in retail sales and negotiation 
* Readiness to learn in a fast-paced environment 

DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Working knowledge of Storis  
* Experience with Client Book 
* Social media and related marketing  

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of management experience related to the furniture/interior design industry
