SALES SPECIALIST 

JOB DESCRIPTION 
The duties of a Sales Specialist support showroom sales and utilizing the Point-of-Sale system as well as visual merchandising showroom.  Positions available are full time, part time and seasonal. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 
* Learn the STORIS system POS/AR. etc. process 
* Complete Outside Designer Form and follow through with Designer discounts (communication with Designers extremely important) 
* Operate cash register and store computer to accept payments, place orders, make change, and balance cash drawer. Ability to work with accounts receivable and understand how sales transactions effect store accounting. 
* Walk sales floor engage customers sale items off the floor or Special order 
* Engage customer through building relationships with customers. Go above and beyond for all customers. 
* Learn all products special order and in stock 
* Print Pick up and Delivery tickets through Storis 
* Ensure delivery paperwork is accurate and complete 
* Daily responsibilities to collaborate with designers and CSM on deliveries
* Complete pick up tickets
* Opening and closing responsibilities, filing, general store cleaning. 
* Help in receiving and tagging items in the store. 

REQUIRED SKILLS
* Solid organizational skills 
* Ability to perform/ multi- task both under pressure and normal 
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
* Courteous, patient attitude with all customers and team members 

DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Working knowledge of Storis 
* Experience with Client Book 
* Social media and related marketing  
* Event planning  

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE 
* 2+ years of retail experience 
* Furniture and design knowledge
